
Campisi of CMU, Contreras of Clarke Highlight Heart Men’s Soccer Weekly Awards

As the Heart of America Athletic Conference reaches the midway point of the conference season, the conference announced its Heart Men's Soccer Player of the Week award winners.
Stefano Campisi of the No. 3 nationally ranked Central Methodist men's soccer team garnered the Heart Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award, while Fernando Contreras of Clarke University earned his second Heart Defensive Player of the Week of 2022.
Campisi and the Eagles earned two wins last week, an 8-0 victory over Evangel and a 2-1 hard fought win against Grand View.
The sophomore scored two goals and had two assists in the shutout win over the Valor, he then followed that up with the game-tying goal in the win in over Grand View. The Eagles sit atop the Heart standings at 4-0-2.
Contreras earned a pair of wins in goal for the Pride last week. The sophomore goalkeeper had four saves in the shutout victory over Graceland.
He then had five saves in the 4-1 victory over No. 8 nationally ranked MidAmerica Nazarene. Contreras also won this award back on September 5.
