2022 Heart Men’s Soccer Conference Tournament
The Heart of America Athletic Conference is excited to announce the field for the 2022 Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Conference Tournament, as eight squads from across the conference have qualified for the event.
The Heart Quarterfinals were held on Saturday, November 5 at four different campus sites, winners of those matches moved onto the Heart Semifinals on Wednesday, November 9. The Tournament will conclude on Saturday, November 12 with the Championship match. No. 7 William Penn will travel to No. 1 Central Methodist on Saturday, November 12 at 6 pm in the Heart Championship game.
The Central Methodist Eagles and Missouri Valley College Vikings captured the 2022 Heart regular season co-championship, as the two rivals tied for the Heart title. The Vikings finished 9-0-3 in conference play, while Missouri Valley went 10-2.
With its 2-1 victory over Missouri Valley on September 21, CMU earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament.
It's the fifth-straight Heart regular season title for CMU and the first for the Vikings since the 2017 season.
CMU has won the last three Heart Conference Tournament Championships, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Prior to that, Missouri Valley won two-straight from 2017-18.
