Final Heart Men’s Soccer Players of the Week of 2022 Announced

In the final installment of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week awards of 2022, Jayce Berger of Grand View was selected the Heart Offensive Player of the Week, while Edan Sears of William Penn garnered the Heart Defensive Player of the Week award.

In the Heart Quarterfinal matchup against No. 5 seeded Clarke, Berger scored a goal and had two assists, in the 4-1 victory for the Vikings.

They will next take on No. 1 seeded Central Methodist on Wednesday in the Heart Semifinals.

In No. 7 seeded William Penn's 2-0 upset victory over No. 2 seeded Missouri Valley in the Heart Quarterfinals last Saturday, Sears helped lead the Statesmen defense in the shutout and he scored the game-winning goal against the Vikings.

William Penn will now travel to No. 3 MidAmerica Nazarene on Wednesday in the Heart Semifinals.
