
No. 1 CMU Defeats No. 7 WPU, 4-0, To Earn Fourth-Straight Heart Conference Tournament Championship

The Eagles and Statesmen have both secured a bid to the 2022 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship, as the Eagles were the 2022 Heart Co-Regular season and conference tournament champion, while the Statesmen garnered a berth as the conference tournament runner-up.
The Eagles, scored two goals in each half and from four different players. The first two came from Liam Arthur in the 10th minute and Guilherme Pereira in the 22nd minute.
After halftime, CMU's Mark Csongradi scored in the 47th minute and then Jesse Bank put things away in the 61st minute with the Eagles' fourth goal.
CMU improves to 15-0-5 on the season, while the Statesmen fall to 11-6-3. The two squads also matched up in the regular season on October 29, with that match ending in a 2-2 tie.
Both teams will compete in the NAIA Men's Soccer First Round next Thursday, November 17.
