Emre Baris of WPU, Andrew Porter of Graceland Selected WinWon Men’s Soccer Players of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its WinWon Men's Soccer Players of the Week on Monday, as Emre Baris of (RV) William Penn earned the Conference Offensive Player of the Week award and Andrew Porter of Graceland earned the Conference Defensive Player of the Week. 

Baris scored two goals for the Statesmen in their impressive 4-0 victory over No. 2 nationally ranked University of Mobile (Ala.) on September 2. The Statesmen are now 4-0-1 on the season.

Porter and the Yellowjackets went 2-0 last week with a 3-0 win Mount Marty and a 5-0 win over Midland.

The freshman led the defense to two shutouts and surrendered just four total shots on goal in those two games. He also added a goal and an assist.
