Heart Announces WinWon Men’s Soccer Players of the Week – September 18

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its WinWon Men's Soccer Players of the Week on Monday.

Jony Munoz of No. 7 nationally ranked MidAmerica Nazarene University is this week's Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while Vicente Benitez Delgado of No. 21 Missouri Valley College is the Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Munoz had a fantastic week for the Pioneers, with four goals and two assists. MNU defeated University of Science and Arts (Okla.), 4-2 and opened Heart play with a 4-1 win over Culver-Stockton.

The senior scored a hat trick against USAO and then followed that up with a goal and two assists against Culver-Stockton.

Delgado and the Vikings opened Heart action with a 4-0 road win over Park University last Saturday.

The goalkeeper helped lead the Vikings to a shutout with his one save in the contest. The Vikings improved to 2-3 overall on the season.
