Rozalen, Cuende Selected WinWon Men’s Soccer Players of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its WinWon Men's Soccer Player of the Week awards on Monday.

Jaime Rozalen of No. 16 nationally ranked William Penn University has been named the Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while Alejandro Cuende of Mount Mercy earned the Conference Defensive Player of the Week award.

Rozalen and the Statesmen battled No. 6 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene to a 2-2 tie on September 30.

The freshman scored both goals for WPU in that contest. His second goal came with 14 seconds left in regulation.

In Mount Mercy's 2-0 victory at Park on September 30, Cuende saved all five shots he faced. The sophomore currently has a 0.48 goals against average in five games.
