WinWon Men's Soccer Players of the Week Announced - October 16

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its WinWon Men's Soccer Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon.

Kerim Akpinar of No. 16 ranked Missouri Valley College is this week's Offensive Player of the Week, while Noah Reuscher of Benedictine is the Defensive Player of the Week.

Akpinar and the Vikings went 1-1 last week, with a 3-0 loss to Central Methodist, then defeated No. 14 ranked William Penn, 4-0.

The freshman from Bremen, Germany scored a hat trick against William Penn and scored a goal on all three shots he took against the Statesmen. The Vikings sit atop the Heart standings at 7-1 in conference play.

Reuscher and the Ravens defeated No. 8 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene, 2-0, last week and tied Central Methodist 2-2.

The sophomore goalkeeper recorded the shutout with five saves against MNU. He then had seven saves in the tie with CMU.
