Culver-Stockton College Men’s Soccer Earns Musco Team Sportsmanship Award

For their display of the NAIA's Five Core Character Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership, the Culver-Stockton College men's soccer program has been selected the Musco Team Sportsmanship Award for the sport of men's soccer, announced by the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

"This marks the third year of the Musco Team Sportsmanship award and to continue to honor teams that play the game the right way and are servant leaders in the community, shows how important these qualities are to the conference," said Heart Commissioner, Lori Thomas. "Coach Hamilton led his team with those five core character values in mind and the Wildcats are deserving of this award."

Teams are nominated throughout the season by Athletics Administrators, Game Officials, Coaches, Student-Athletes and Fans.

"The Wildcats were respectful to their opponents and referees even if a result wasn't going their way. The coaching staff communicated to his players with respect and positivity and it was refreshing to see the way the team operated on and off the field."

For the fall season, the Heart will be awarding its Musco Team Sportsmanship award to one team from each sport of football, women's soccer, men's soccer, women's volleyball, women's cross country and men's cross country.
