Heart Men’s Soccer Players of the Week, presented by WinWon Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Soccer Players of the Week, presented by WinWon on Monday afternoon.

Luke Persenico of Clarke University was named the Heart Offensive Player of the Week, while Cristobal Benitez Delgado earned the Heart Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Persenico and the Pride went 2-0 last week with a 5-0 win over Culver-Stockton and a 7-2 win over No. 25 Baker.

The senior had a career-high four goals in the win over Baker and added another goal against Culver-Stockton.

Benitez Delgado and the Vikings earned two road nationally ranked conference wins last week, with a 2-1 win at No. 20 MidAmerica Nazarene and they defeated No. 6 ranked William Penn, 3-1.

The junior had seven saves in each match and the Vikings are now atop the Heart standings at 6-0 in conference play.
