Medrano, Benitez Delgado Earn Heart Men’s Soccer Players of the Week, presented by WinWon

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Soccer Players of the Week, presented by WinWon on Monday.

Hector Medrano of Clarke University was the recipient of the Heart Offensive Player of the Week award, while Cristobal Benitez Delgado of No. 7 ranked Missouri Valley, earned his second Heart Defensive Player of the Week honor of 2024.

Medrano and the Pride went on the road and defeated (RV) Benedictine, 4-0 last Friday night. The junior scored two goals in the victory.

Benitez Delgado and the Vikings had another stellar week, as they defeated No. 5 ranked Bellevue, 1-0 and Heart rival Park, 1-0.

The junior goalkeeper had two saves in the shutout against Bellevue and three in the win over Park.
