Final Heart Men’s Soccer Player of the Week Awards of 2024 Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its final Heart Men's Soccer Player of the Week awards, presented by WinWon of the 2024 season on Monday.

Pablo Lopez of Mount Mercy University was selected the Heart Offensive Player of the Week, while Nadji Rebai of Clarke earned the Heart Defensive Player of the Week honor.

Lopez and the Mustangs secured a spot in the upcoming Heart Conference Tournament with a 4-0 win over Culver-Stockton.

The freshman scored a hat trick in the victory. No. 7 Mount Mercy will travel to No. 2 William Penn on Wednesday in the Heart Quarterfinals.

Rebai and the Pride defeated Grand View, 3-2, on Halloween to secure the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Heart Conference Tournament. In the victory, the sophomore scored or assisted on all three Clarke goals in the victory, while playing the center back position. The Pride will host No. 6 Benedictine this Wednesday in the Heart Quarterfinals.
