2022 Heart of America Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Preview
The Heart of America Athletic Conference is set to host the 2022 Heart Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship on Friday, February 18 and Saturday, February 19 at the Hughes Fieldhouse in Maryville, Missouri, on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University.
Tickets for the event are $5 per person and fans 16 and under will be admitted free. Spectators are asked to enter through the top East doors only of the facility.
The following teams will be competing at the event, Baker, Benedictine, Central Methodist, Clarke, Culver-Stockton, Evangel, Graceland, Grand View, MidAmerica Nazarene, Missouri Valley, Mount Mercy, Park and William Penn.
MidAmerica Nazarene is in search of its sixth-straight Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field championship.
The Pioneers won the 2021 Championship with 146 points, 15.5 points ahead of second-place Central Methodist.
On the men's side, Grand View has captured the last two Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships. Last season they earned 196 points, 55 points ahead of second-place Baker.

The top three finishers in each event will be considered 2022 Heart Indoor Track & Field All-Conference athletes. 1st Place = First Team All-Conference, 2nd Place = Second Team All-Conference, 3rd Place = Third Team All-Conference, and fourth, fifth and sixth place finishers in each event will be considered 2022 Heart Indoor Track & Field Honorable Mention All-Conference.
Major award winners from the Championships including the 2022 Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year, Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year, Heart Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Meet and Heart Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Meet, as well as the 2022 Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year, Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year, Heart Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Meet and Heart Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Meet, will all be announced on Monday, Feb. 21 on the Heart of America Athletic Conference website.
The two-day championships will begin at 2 pm on Friday with the Pentathlon and will resume on Saturday at 9 am with the Heptathlon.
