Ceondae Adams, Isaiah Wittrock Earn First Heart Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week Awards of 2023

In the first installment of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week awards of 2023, Ceondae Adams of Mount Mercy was selected the Heart Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Isaiah Wittrock of Grand View garnered the Heart Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor.

Wittrock won the men's 1,000m race at the Wartburg Chelsey Henkenius Open last week with a time of 2:29.18. He currently ranks No. 1 in the NAIA in that event.

Adams won the 200m race also at the Wartburg Chelsey Henkenius Open last week in a time of 21.97. He then placed third in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8:22. That time qualified him for the 2023 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships, hitting the 'A' standard.
