Heart Announces Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week – Jan. 23

The Heart of America Athletic Conference Announced its Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Monday.

Carter Huyser of Grand View earned the Heart Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Michael Millslagle of Graceland was selected the Heart Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Huyser performed well at the Northwest Open over the weekend with his 800m time of 1:53.42, placing him second out of 31 competitors.

He finished ahead of several NCAA Division II opponents and hit the 'A' standard, qualifying him for the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships.

Millslagle also competed in the Northwest Open in the men's high jump and placed third out of 16 competitors with his mark of 2.05m.

He also hit the 'A' standard and qualified for the NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field National Championships.
