Myles Ellis of MidAmerica Nazarene University and Michael Millslagle of Graceland University earned the Heart Men's Indoor Track and Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week awards, respectively.
Ellis broke the MNU school record in the men's 200m race with a time of 21.20 and hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of qualification for the NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field National Championships. He finished in first-place in a field of 71 total athletes at the NAIA/D2 Challenge.
The Santa Maria, California native also placed first in the men's 4x400m relay with a time of 3:18.34 with his teammates, which also hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of qualification.
This is the second-straight week that Millslagle has garnered this award. The senior placed first in the high jump with a mark of 2.15m, which again hit the NAIA 'A' Standard, it also broke the meet and facility record.
Millslagle also competed in the long jump and took home first-place with a mark of 6.95m.
