Ellis, Wiley Earn Heart Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week Honors

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Men's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week awards on Monday, as Myles Ellis of MidAmerica Nazarene University won his second-straight Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor, while Blake Willey of Grand View won the Heart Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

Ellis won the 400m race at the Northwest Missouri State Bearcat Open last week with a time of 47.44. That time was the top time of the race, in a field of 84 athletes. He also hit the 'A' Standard of qualification for the 2024 NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field National Championships.

Willey placed third overall out of 49 athletes at the Bearcat Open in the men's shot put, with his mark of 16.05m. He currently sits No. 1 in the Heart in the shot put and he hit the 'A' Standard of qualification for NAIA Nationals.
