WinWon Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week Announced – March 25
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its WinWon Men's Outdoor Track Field Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Logan Lucas of Culver-Stockton College earned the Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award, while Brayton Stephenson of Central Methodist was selected the Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Lucas broke the C-SC school record in the steeplechase at the Washington University Quad on Saturday with a time of 9:49.53. The junior placed second overall and is currently, No. 2 in the Heart in that event.
Stephenson and the Eagles competed at the Miner Invitational hosted by Missouri S&T over the weekend. The sophomore hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of qualification for the NAIA National Championships in the shot put with a mark of 16.11m and took home fourth place.
He also placed 16th overall in the discus with a toss of 38.63m. The event featured 68 athletes.
