CMU Sweeps WinWon Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce this week's WinWon Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week. 

The Central Methodist Eagels swept the awards, as Chris Adekoya earned the Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and teammate Hunter Cary captured the Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honor.

Adekoya placed fourth out of 75 competitors in the men's 100m dash at the John Jacobs Invitational last week with his time of 10.35. The junior's time hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of Qualification for the NAIA National Championships and is the No. 3 time in the NAIA this season.

Cary placed first at the John Jacobs Invitational in the men's decathlon with 6,440 points. He is currently the No. 1 decathlete in the NAIA and has qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championship in May.
