Mount Mercy Men's Indoor Track & Field Selected Musco Team Sportsmanship Award Recipient

Mount Mercy University has been selected for the Musco Team Sportsmanship Award for the sport of men's indoor track & field, announced by the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

The Mustangs earned the award for their display of the NAIA's Five Core Character Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.

Teams are nominated throughout the season by Athletics Administrators, Game Officials, Coaches, Student-Athletes and Fans.

Here is what the nominator had to say about the Mustangs: "Coach Schekel and his entire staff do such a good job at instilling all five core values and generally care for other teams and coaches that they compete against. It's refreshing to see the way they compete and show such great sportsmanship."
