William Penn Sweeps Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week award on Monday afternoon. 

William Penn University swept the award, as teammates Tony Paye earned the Heart Indoor Track Athlete of the Week award and Anthony Weaver earned the Heart Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor.

Paye competed at the Grinnell Invitational and qualified for nationals hitting the NAIA 'B' Standard of qualification for the NAIA National Championships in the men's 60-meter hurdles with his first place time of 8.14. He currently ranks No. 3 in the Heart in that event.

He also placed sixth in the men's 60-meter dash in a time of 7.17.

Weaver also competed at the Grinnell Invitational and won the triple jump with a mark of 14.28m.

He also took home third place in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.44m.
