
2025 Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Men's Postseason Awards Announced
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its 2025 Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Men's Postseason Awards on Monday afternoon.
Each award was voted upon by the Heart Track & Field head coaches and are based on results from the Heart Indoor Track & Field Conference Championships held last weekend on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University.
2025 Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year - Victoria Vinokur, William Penn
Vinokur and the Statesmen finished second overall at the 2025 Heart Indoor Track & Field Championships last Saturday with 127 total points, just 11.5 points shy of first-place Benedictine.
2025 Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year - Caleb Drake, William Penn
As a team, William Penn earned xx first-place finishers, including D'Artagnon Beaver in the men's 3,000m, Anthony Weaver Jr. in the men's triple jump and Xzavion West in the men's weight throw.
2025 Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field - Track Athlete of the Meet - Keegan Thompson, Mount Mercy
Thompson earned the most points of any male athlete at the 2025 Heart Indoor Championships with 26 points. He won the men's 200m in a time of 21.84 and won the men's 60m in a time of 6.79. He also took home third in the men's 400m in a time of 48.89.
2025 Heart Men's Indoor Track & Field - Field Athlete of the Meet - Ethan Smith, Central Methodist
Smith won the Heptathlon after tallying 4,767 total points. During the seven-event competition, Smith won the pole vault and posted top three finishes in the long jump, shot put, high jump and 60m hurdles.
Additionally, Smith earned a second place standing in the Pole Vault, clearing a height of 4.15 meters.
