Strong of Missouri Valley & Evans of CMU Capture Heart Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week Honors

In the third installment of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week awards, Clarence Strong Jr. of Missouri Valley College earned the Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award, while Colder Evans of Central Methodist was selected the Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Strong Jr. competed at the CMU Invite and won both of the events he competed in, including the men's 200-meter dash and the 400-meter.

He ran the 200-meter in a time of 21.67 and won the 400-meter in a time of 48.93.

Evans competed in three events at the CMU Invite, as he won the men's discus with a toss of 48.90m to hit the NAIA 'B' standard of qualification.

He also placed second in the men's hammer throw with a toss of 52.12m and placed fifth overall in the shot put with a mark of 14.67m.
