Missouri Valley’s Aboussou, Grand View’s Huyser Collect Heart Men’s Outdoor Honors

On Monday afternoon, the Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, as Missouri Valley College's Enoch Aboussou was selected the Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week and Carter Huyser of Grand View garnered the Heart Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Aboussou competed in the premier Kansas Relays on April 14 and placed sixth overall in the triple jump with a mark of 15.01m. It was the highest placing of any NAIA athlete at the meet.

The Ridgeway, Pennsylvania native hit the NAIA 'A' Standard, qualifying him for the 2023 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.

Huyser took on the men's 800-meter race at the Jim Duncan Invite and finished second overall with a time of 1:54.10. He hit the NAIA 'A' Standard and is currently tied for best time in the men's 800-meter in the NAIA.
