Brayton Stephenson Captures Heart Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its first Heart Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week awards on Monday afternoon.

Brayton Stephenson of Central Methodist University was named the Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Stephenson hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of qualification for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Conference Championships at the CMU Open last week in the men's shot put, with his throw of 16.88m, placing second at the meet.

He also took home seventh overall in the men's discuss with a toss of 44.78m.

There were no nominations for Heart Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Meet.
