
Adams, Evans Capture Heart Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week Honors
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Monday.
Mount Mercy University's Ceondae Adams was selected the Heart Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Colder Evans of Central Methodist earned the Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Adams broke a pair of school records in both the 110m hurdles and the 100m dash at the CMU Spring Invite.
He hit the NAIA 'A' standard of qualification in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.04. And in the 100m dash he hit the NAIA 'B' standard with a time of 10.41.
Evans also competed at the CMU Spring Invite, as the senior hit the NAIA 'B' standard in both the shot put and discus.
In the discus he placed first with a throw of 50.88m, while he took home third in the shot put with a toss of 16.13m. He also placed second in the hammer throw with a throw of 53.16m.
