Nolte, Willey Take Home Heart Men's Outdoor Weekly Awards

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Outdoor Track & Field weekly honors on Monday.

Owen Nolte of Benedictine College was named the Heart Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Blake Willey of Grand View earned the Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week award.

Nolte hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of qualification for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championship in the men's 5,000m race walk at the Friends University Spring Invitational last week.

He placed second overall in the event with a time of 23:03.60.

Willey competed at the Cornell Invitational and won the shot put with a throw of 17.35m. He also hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of qualification for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championship.
