Heart Men’s Volleyball Weekly Awards Announced – March 4

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Volleyball Weekly awards on Monday afternoon.

Daniel Galili of No. 9 ranked Grand View was selected the Heart Attacker of the Week, while teammate Guilherme Domdei Goedert earned the Heart Setter of the Week and Landon Krause on No. 5 William Penn was selected the Heart Defender of the Week.

Galili and the Vikings went 3-0 in the Heart last week with a 3-1 win over No. 15 Mount Mercy, a 3-0 win over UHSP and a 3-2 win over No. 8 Missouri Baptist.

The junior collected 59 total kills, including 20 against Mount Mercy and 23 against MBU. He averaged 4.92 kills per set and hit .366.

Goedert dished out 141 total assists last week, averaging 11.75 assists per set. He also had 20 total digs.

Krause and the Statesmen went 4-0 last week, with a 3-0 win over Clarke, a 3-1 win over No. 8 Missouri Baptist, as well as a 3-0 win over UHSP and a 3-1 win over Morningside.

The senior led WPU in digs with 41, good for 2.93 per set. He also had 20 blocks averaging 1.43 per set. Offensively he also had 54 kills, averaging 3.86 per set.
