Heart Men’s Volleyball Players of the Week Announced – March 18

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Volleyball Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon. 

Grant Hoover and Cole Cwiklowski of University Health Sciences and Pharmacy were selected the Heart Attacker and Setter of the Week, while Landon Krause of No. 7 ranked William Penn is the Heart Defender of the Week.

Hoover and the Eutectics went 3-1 last week, including a four-set Heart win over Culver-Stockton College.

In the four matches, Hoover averaged 4.47 kills per set and hit .427. He had two matches with 20 or more kills.

Teammate Cwiklowski racked up 170 assists in those four matches, averaging 12.14 assists per set. He also had 30 total digs and three service aces.

Krause and the Statesmen went 2-0 last week with wins over Graceland and Kansas Wesleyan. The senior averaged 2.57 digs per set and had six total blocks in the two victories.
