Krause, Sabi, Culibrk Highlight Heart Men’s Volleyball Players of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Volleyball Weekly Awards on Monday afternoon.

Landon Krause of No. 5 William Penn was named the Heart Attacker of the Week, while Eduardo Sabi of No. 8 Park earned the Heart Setter of the Week and Veljko Culibrk of No. 11 Missouri Baptist earned the Heart Defender of the Week award.

Krause and the Statemen earned three Heart victories last week. In the trio of wins, Krause averaged 3.90 kills per set and a hitting percentage of .403.

He also led the defense with 22 digs and six blocks.

Sabi and the Pirates defeated UHSP and Graceland in three sets last week. The sophomore averaged 10.67 assists per set for the week and had over 30 assists in each match.

Culibrk and the Spartans picked up a big Heart win last Saturday with a 3-0 victory over No. 4 Grand View. The sophomore had seven blocks in that win and is the conference's leader in blocks per set.
