2024 Heart Men's Volleyball All-Conference Teams Announced
The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2024 Heart Men's Volleyball All-Conference teams and postseason award winners.
The award winners feature players from across one of the premier men's volleyball conferences in the NAIA and are listed as First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention All-Conference.
The individual awards and All-Conference teams were selected by the Heart men's volleyball head coaches.
Below please find the list of 2024 individual award winners:
2024 Heart Men's Volleyball Player of the Year – Landon Krause – William Penn University
This is the first Heart Men's Volleyball Player of the Year award for Krause, as he also won the Heart Attacker of the Year award in 2022.
This season, the senior averaged 3.65 kills per set and a hitting percentage of .331, as well as 92 total blocks.
2024 Heart Men's Volleyball Attacker of the Year – Akeel Oxley – Mount Mercy University
Oxley is one of the nation's leaders in kills per set in 2024 with 4.06 per set, with his 288 total kills. He had 15 matches this season with 10 or more kills.
2024 Heart Men's Volleyball Middle Blocker of the Year – Charlie Figy– William Penn University
Figy had a terrific season at the net for WPU, with his nine solo blocks, and 86 block assists, averaging 0.97 blocks per set.
2024 Heart Men's Volleyball Libero of the Year – Marko Javanovic – Missouri Baptist
The sophomore led the Spartans in digs per set with 2.71 this season and 236 total digs. He also had 56 assists on the year.
2024 Heart Men's Volleyball Setter of the Year – Eduardo Sabi – Park University
This is the second-straight season that Sabi has earned this award. The sophomore supplied the Pirates with 746 assists this season and averaged 10.08 assists per set. He also averaged 1.73 digs per set with 128 total digs.
2024 Heart Men's Volleyball Co-Freshman of the Year – Grant Hoover – University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy
Hoover had an excellent freshman season for the Eutectics with 378 total kills, averaging 3.53 kills per set and 173 digs.
2024 Heart Men's Volleyball Co-Freshman of the Year – Aleksa Mandic – Missouri Baptist
Mandic averaged 3.64 kills per set with 346 total kills for the Spartans in his first season. The also posted a .243 hitting percentage.
2024 Heart Men's Volleyball Coach of the Year – Luke Bentley – William Penn University
Coach Bentley helped lead the Statesmen to their first-ever Heart men's volleyball regular season championship in 2024, as they shared the regular season title with Grand View at 14-4.
