Heart Men's Volleyball Players of the Week Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Volleyball Weekly honors on Monday.

Andrey Bastos of No. 3 Missouri Valley was named the Heart Attacker of the Week, while David Rudic of No. 5 Missouri Baptist earned the Heart Setter of the Week and Ryan Wagner of Kansas Wesleyan earned the Heart Defender of the Week.

Bastos and the Vikings went 2-0 last week, defeated UHSP, 3-0, and Kansas Wesleyan, 3-1.

In those two matches, the sophomore had 32 total kills and averaged 4.57 kills per set, while posting a hitting percentage of .424.

Rudic continues to lead the Spartans offense at the setter spot, as he collected 52 assists in a bit 3-2 win over No. 9 ranked Park last week.

The senior averaged 10.40 assists per set in the victory.

Wagner averaged 2.17 blocks per set for the Coyotes last week and had seven blocks against No. 3 ranked Missouri Valley.
