No. 9 Park Sweeps Heart Men's Volleyball Player of the Week Awards

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Volleyball weekly honors on Monday.

No. 9 nationally ranked Park University swept the honors, as Leonardo Maldonado was selected the Heart Attacker of the Week, Mihailo Ivanovic was named the Heart Defeder of the Week and Umberto Caleca earned the Heart Setter of the Week honor.

The Pirates had a fantastic week last week, as they defeated No. 7 Grand View, 3-1, at home and went on the road to defeat (RV) William Penn, 3-1.

Maldonado had 37 kills for the Pirates offense with 21 kills against Grand View and 16 against WPU. He averaged 4.63 kills per set.

Caleca averaged 11.75 assists per set with 47 assists against Grand View and 46 against the Statesmen. He also had nine digs against William Penn.

Ivanovic averaged 1.88 blocks per set for the week, as he had eight blocks against GV and seven against WPU. He also had five kills against the Vikings and eight against the Statesmen.
