Grand View Sweeps Heart Runner of the Week Awards

The Grand View University cross country program swept this week's Heart Men's and Women's Runner of the Week awards, announced by the conference office.

Morgan Lawson was named the Heart Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, and Sam Mickelson earned the Heart Men's Runner of the Week honors.

Lawson led the Grand View Invitational from start to finish, as she took home first place with a time of 18:13, 1:18 ahead of second-place.

She also broke the 5K course record, which was previously, 18:47. The Vikings also took home the team title.

Fellow Viking, Mickelson placed second out of 114 runners, with his time of 25:12. The men's squad also won the team title, ahead of 10 other team's that competed.
