Grand View’s Lawson, Mickelson Sweep Heart Runner of the Week Awards for Third Time in 2022
For the third time this fall season, Grand View University's Morgan Lawson and Sam Mickelson swept the Heart Women's and Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week awards respectively.
The duo also swept the awards on October 10 and September 26.
This past week, Lawson and the Vikings competed at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The senior placed 12th out of 214 total competitors with a time of 18:00 in the 5K race. Her time was a new personal best.
Mickelson placed 14th overall in the men's 8K race out of 247 total runners with his time of 24:52.70.
