Bickler Earns First, Williams Captures Second Heart Runner of the Week Awards of 2023
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's and Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week awards on Monday, as Rory Bickler of Clarke University earned her first Women's Runner of the Week award of 2023, while Brandon Williams of William Penn captured his second Men's Runner of the Week of the season.
Bickler and the Pride took part in the Brian T. Simpson Invite in Columbia, MO on Saturday. The senior broke the Clarke school record in the 5K with her time of 18:41.16. She took home 11th place overall out of 94 total runners.
Williams and the Statesmen competed at the Briar Cliff Invitational on October 7 and the junior ran his personal best time of 25:40 at the event.
The Fountain, Colorado native placed 23rd out of 217 total runners at the 8K race.
