Bickler Earns Back-to-Back, Mannella Selected for Third Heart Runner of the Week Awards

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Cross Country Runner of the Week awards on Monday.

Rory Bickler of Clarke University captured back-to-back Women's Runner of the Week honors, while David Mannella of Benedictine College earned his third Heart Men's Runner of the Week of 2023.

Mannella and the Ravens competed at the Platte River Rumble, hosted by Creighton University. The senior placed eighth overall out of 139 total runners with his time of 24:50. The Ravens finished fourth as a team in the 8K race.

Bickler and the Pride took on the Bradley Pink Classic and the senior placed 33^rd overall out of 181 total runners with her time of 23:33.

That time broke the Clarke 6K school record.
