Heart Cross Country Runners of the Week Announced – October 7

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week, on Monday afternoon.

For the third time this season, D'Artagnon Beaver of William Penn University was named the Heart Men's Runner of the Week, while Kalin Rotzoll of Mount Mercy University earned the Heart Women's Runner of the Week.

Beaver competed at the Mount Mercy Seminole Valley Stampede last weekend. The senior finished third overall, out of 212 runners.

He ran the 8K race in a time of 24:58. His time was a personal best and the third-fastest in program history.

Rotzoll also competed at the Mount Mercy Seminole Valley Stampede. The junior ran the 6K in a time of 22:47 and placed seventh out of 143 total runners.

The junior led the Mustangs to a third place team finish. The course will play host to the 2024 Heart Cross Country Conference Championships on November 9.
