2021 #HeartSB Tournament Qualifiers Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 2021 Heart of America Athletic Conference Softball Championship will give eight teams an opportunity to claim hardware, on May 6-9 at Busse Field in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. | TOURNAMENT CENTRAL / 2021 BRACKET

The first round of double-elimination games will take place on Thursday, May 6. The schedule through the first two days will see games starting at 9:30 AM, 12 PM, 2:30 PM. 5 PM, and 7:30 PM. Games on May 8th are slated to start at 12 PM, 2:30 PM, and 5 PM. The first of two potential championship games is set for May 9th at 12 PM, with an "if necessary" game to follow. The top four teams from each division advanced to the tournament with league win percentage determining the seeding.

Grand View will enter postseason as the No. 1 overall seed after collecting the regular season title in a must-win thriller on Sunday afternoon to claim the blue banner for the first time since 2018. The Vikings concluded league play with a record of 30-3, posting a league-high .909 win percentage. They will face No. 8 William Penn (13-22 Heart, .371) in the opening round of action.

Central Methodist drew the No. 2 seed after finishing league play with a conference record of 34-4 (.895 win percentage) and will battle with No. 7 Culver-Stockton (17-19 Heart, .471) in the first round. No. 3 Baker (16-8 Heart, .667) drew No. 6 Evangel (18-15 Heart, .545) on day one while No. 4 Mount Mercy (22-12 Heart, .647) is set to face No. 5 Benedictine (22-16 Heart, .579).
