2023 Heart Softball All-Conference Teams Announced
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its annual Heart Softball All-Conference teams and major award winners on Friday afternoon.
The All-Conference teams feature players from across the Heart and are listed as First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention.
Below you will also find the 2023 Heart Softball Gold Glove Team.
The individual awards and All-Conference teams were selected by the Heart softball head coaches.

2023 Heart Softball Player of the Year – Kelena Oots – Central Methodist
Oots is having a terrific season for the Eagles, with her .400 batting average on 66 hits. The junior from Kansas City, Missouri has hit three doubles and three triples this season and stolen 24 bases.
2023 Heart Softball Pitcher of the Year – Jayna Witzany – Mount Mercy
For the second-straight season, Jayna Witzany was selected the Heart Softball Pitcher of the Year. The senior has won 19 games in the circle for the Mustangs so far in 2023 and posted an ERA of 0.81 overall and 0.49 in Heart regular season games. In 173.1 innings, Witzany has struck out 282 batters.
2023 Heart Softball Newcomer of the Year – Kerstyn Finch – Baker
In her first season with the Wildcats, Finch has hit .322 with six home runs, seven doubles and five triples. She has also collected 36 RBI's and stolen 25 bases.
2023 Heart Softball Freshman of the Year – Kira Baker – Baker
Kira Baker is 19-1 so far in 2023 with an ERA of 0.42 in 132.1 innings. The freshman from Eudora, Kansas has 253 strikeouts on the year and 15 complete games.
2023 Heart Softball Coach of the Year – Pat Reardon – Central Methodist
For the second-straight year, Pat Reardon has been selected the Heart Softball Coach of the Year. He guided the Eagles to a 21-5 conference record and earned a share of the Heart regular season championship, propelling them to the No. 1 seed in this week's Heart Softball Conference Tournament.
