Magee, Baker Selected Musco Softball Players of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Musco Softball Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon.

For the second time this season, Kira Baker of (RV) Baker University has been selected the Musco Softball Pitcher of the Week, while Halle Magee of Park University earned the Musco Softball Player of the Week award.  

In six games last week, Magee hit .529, on 9-of-17. The junior knocked in six RBI's and had two home runs, two triples and three doubles. She also scored four runs.

Baker earned two complete game victories for the Wildcats, including a 3-1 win over No. 16 ranked Grand View and a 4-1 win over Culver-Stockton College.

For the week, the sophomore had 15 strikeouts in her 15 innings of work, with 11 strikeouts coming against Culver-Stockton.
