No. 16 Grand View Sweeps Musco Softball Weekly Awards

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Musco Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week awards on Monday afternoon. 

No. 16 ranked Grand View swept the awards as Olivia Kyes was named the Musco Softball Player of the Week and teammate Madi Huisman earned the Musco Pitcher of the Week.

Kyes and the Vikings went 4-0 last week in four Heart contests. The junior hit .538 on the week on 7-of-13.

She had three doubles and knocked in three runs. The Olathe, Kansas native also scored four runs and stole three bases. 

Huisman threw two complete games for the Vikings, a 6-0 win over Peru State and a 3-1 win over Clarke. For the week, she struck out nine batters and walked just one.
