Heart Softball Players of the Week Announced - March 24

The Heart of America Athletic Conference Announced its Heart Softball Players of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Kira Baker of Baker University was named the Heart Softball Pitcher of the Week, while Daly Garland of No. 6 nationally ranked Central Methodist University was named the Heart Player of the Week.

In six games last week, Garland batted .471 with eight hits, including three doubles and a home run.

The senior drove in 11 RBI's and walked and scored twice.

Baker went 2-0 last week for the Wildcats. As she threw a complete game against Clarke in a 1-0 victory.

She allowed just one hit against the Pride and struck out 15 batters.

Then against Mount Mercy, she earned another win, throwing a complete game and striking out another five batters.
