Aaliyah Ortiz Captures WinWon Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

Aaliyah Ortiz of Culver-Stockton College has been selected the WinWon Women's Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the Heart of America Athletic Conference on Monday.

Ortiz was stellar for the Wildcats in their two victories last week over William Penn, 84-58 and Peru State, 83-41.

The Tucson, Arizona native averaged 15.5 points per game, while shooting 62.5-percent from the field.

Ortiz was also perfect from the free-throw line on the week, 10-for-10. The senior also averaged 9.5 assists and 5.5 steals per game. Against Peru State, she had a double-double with 20 points and 10 assists.
