Mitchell, Skalak Selected Heart Bowlers of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's and Women's Bowlers of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Lucy Mitchell of William Penn University earned the Heart Women's Bowler of the Week, while Isaac Skalak of Peru State earned the Heart Men's Bowler of the Week.

Skalak and the Bobcats competed at the NAIA West Open last week and he earned a spot on the All-Tournament team with a second-place finish.

In his five games, the junior knocked down 1,119 pins for an average of 224.

Mitchell and the Statesmen competed at the NAIA Weekend #1 tournament and the sophomore placed first overall, out of 106 players.

She had a pin average of 205.8 in five games and posted a high game of 221.
