William Penn Wins Second-Straight Heart Women’s Golf Championship

The William Penn University women's golf team won their second-straight Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship on Tuesday afternoon, as they won the event by eight strokes over Grand View University for the programs sixth Heart Women's Golf Conference Championship.

The Statesmen have now won the Heart Women's Golf Conference Championship in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023.

The event took place at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake in Moravia, Iowa.

Baker University's Mia Tovkach won the individual title with rounds of 78, 80, 76. It took a one-hole playoff against Grand View's Brooke Boardman for Tovkach to capture the individual crown. Tovkach birdied hole 18 on the playoff, while Boardman earned a Par.

The Statesmen have now qualified for the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships, May 23-26, at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.
