First Heart Men’s and Women’s Golfer of the Week Awards of the Season Announced
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its first Heart Men's and Women's Golfer of the Week awards of the fall season on Monday.
Colby Unruh of MidAmerica Nazarene was selected the Heart Men's Golfer of the Week, while Olivia Lange of William Penn garnered the first Heart Women's Golfer of the Week award.
Unruh and the Pioneers competed at the Northwest Iowa National Invitational last week and the senior won the event with rounds of 66, 70 and 72. He topped all 62 golfers in the 12-team event that was a par 71 tournament.
Lange and the Statesmen also competed at the Northwest Iowa National Invitational and the junior placed 10th overall with her rounds of 74, 71 and 74. The Buckeburg, Germany native broke the 54-hole record with a total of 219.
