2024 Heart Women's Golf Conference Championship

For the second-straight year, the Heart of America Athletic Conference will host the 2024 Heart Women's Golf Conference Championship at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake in Moravia, Iowa.

This year's event will take place Monday, April 22 and Tuesday, April 23.

The event will feature 12 teams, including Baker, Central Methodist, Clarke, Culver-Stockton, Graceland, MidAmerica Nazarene, Grand View, Missouri Valley, Mount Mercy, Park, Peru State and William Penn.

William Penn is the two-time defending Heart Champions, as they won the 2023 event also at The Preserve. The Statesmen have won six of the last seven Heart Women's Golf Championships.

The Heart Championship will feature 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 holes on Tuesday. The winning team will earn an automatic bid to the 29th Annual NAIA Women's Golf National Championships, May 14-17, at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.  

Monday the golfers will begin at 8 am with a shot gun start, while Tuesday will begin also at 8 am with tee times.

More on the golf course: An 18-hole championship golf course, The Preserve on Rathbun Lake is consistently ranked among the top 5 public courses in the state, is suited for golfers of every skill level with 5 sets of tees and generous fairways, and offers lessons, clinics, and club fittings by two PGA Golf Professionals. The 7,000-yard course meanders through scenic prairie and oak savannas and is located right next to Honey Creek Resort on Rathbun Lake. 

After golf has concluded, the Heart will be broadcasting the awards ceremony live on Tuesday on the Heart Conference Network.

The Heart will honor the All-Conference team which consists of 15 players. The 15 players will be the five low medalists, including ties for 5th-place, at the conference tournament. 

The remaining All-Conference players will be selected by the Golf Stat individual adjusted scoring average ranking (to be eligible a player must have posted at least 10 competitive collegiate golf rounds during the academic year).

The following awards will also be handed out, Individual Tournament Medalist, Heart Conference Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Coach of the Year.
