Baker Sweeps Heart Golf Weekly Honors

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's and Women's Golf weekly honors on Monday.

Gavin Dines of Baker was selected the Heart Men's Golfer of the Week, while fellow Wildcat Izabelle Backstrom of Baker was named the Heart Women's Golfer of the Week.

The Wildcats competed at the Hesston Spring Shootout last week and the sophomore broke the programs 54-hole record with a 209, firing rounds of 70, 68 and 71.

He placed first out of 57 total golfers.

Backstrom also won the Hesston Spring Shootout with her 54-hole score of 234, with her rounds of 77, 76 and 81.

The freshman placed first out of 37 total golfers.
