2023 Heart Women’s Lacrosse All-Conference Teams Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference made history on Thursday, as the conference announced its first-ever Heart Women's Lacrosse All-Conference teams and major award winners.

The award winners feature players from across the conference and are listed as First Team or Second Team in their respective positions.

The individual awards and All-Conference teams were selected by the Heart women's lacrosse head coaches.

Below please find the list of 2023 individual major award winners:

2023 Heart Women's Lacrosse Player of the Year - Kaylen Moore- Benedictine College

Moore and the Ravens won the first-ever Heart Women's Lacrosse Conference Tournament Championship with a 15-4 win over No. 2 seeded St. Ambrose on April 22.

2023 Heart Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year – Kaylen Moore – Benedictine College

Moore had an incredible first year for the Ravens. She was near the top of the Heart in goals scored this season with 51, with 20 of those coming in Heart contests. The freshman was also second on the team in assists with 14.

2023 Heart Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year – Kaylen Moore – Benedictine College

Moore was selected the Heart Player of the Week an impressive five times during the 2023 season. The freshman from Seattle, Wash., picked up 25 ground balls for the Ravens and won an impressive 126 draw controls this season. With the help of Moore, the Ravens have outscored their opponents, 193-89, so far this season.

2023 Heart Women's Lacrosse Newcomer of the Year – Courtney Franfurth – Benedictine College

Frankfurth and the defending NAIA National Champion Ravens earned the No. 1 seed in this week's Heart Women's Lacrosse Conference Tournament and have advanced to the championship game, where they will meet No. 2 St. Ambrose this Saturday, April 22 at 1 pm in Atchison, Kansas.

The midfielder has scored 47 goals this season and collected 11 assists. She has attempted 75 shots with 52 on goal.

2023 Heart Women's Lacrosse Freshman of the Year – Kaylen Moore – Benedictine College

With the help of Moore, the Ravens have outscored their opponents, 193-89, so far this season. The freshman has attempted 83 shots this season with 63 on goal. She has also caused 18 turnovers defensively.

2023 Heart Women's Lacrosse Coach of the Year – Caitlin Erickson – Culver-Stockton College

Coach Erickson and the Wildcats earned the No. 4 seed in the first-ever Heart Women's Lacrosse Conference Tournament this week. Culver-Stockton broke the program record for wins in a season this year and landed six All-Conference selections.

2023 Heart Women's Lacrosse Assistant Coach of the Year - Joshua Bell - William Penn

Coach Bell helped lead the Statesmen to a 10-4 record and No. 3 seed in the Heart Conference Tournament.
